Grand Kumbabhisheka - Temple of Anandeshwari 1 Oct 2006, Hydrabad ashram, India
On the 1 st of October 2006, Swamiji performed a grand Kumbabhisheka (process of sanctifying the temple through fire rituals and energized water) at the temple of Anandeshwari in Hyderabad.
Starting the preliminary proceedings on 29 Sep, a series of rituals were performed to harness and transfer the Existential energy from the ether element to the air element through chanting mantras, from the air element to the fire element through offerings at fire rituals, from the fire element to the water element and finally from the water element to the earth element, by offering the energized water to the deities which represent the earth element. The temple towers were sanctified by the energized water.
Following are a few pictures taken at the ceremony:
29 Sep – Energizing and hoisting the flag of Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam over the flag staff at the entrance of the temple.
29 Sep – Arati to the Maha Meru (3-dimensional structure representing the Cosmos), situated inside the temple.
A thread connection is established between the water pots holding the sanctified water and every deity in the temple. Here, Swamiji is seen establishing the thread connection with a deity. This thread symbolically carries forth the Existential energy from the water to the deity.
