Sri Vidya Pooja - September 30, 2006 - LA Ashram

Sri Vidya Pooja  was conducted on a grand scale at the LA Ashram on Sep'30 which was attended by devotees coming in from as far as San Diego and San Jose. Abhisheka (sacred bath) was performed for Ananda Venkateshwara and Anandeshwara and Anandeshwari in the morning after which they were dressed up in all their jewels and finery. 

In the evening everyone present took part in the Abhisheka to Maha Meru which is a mystical representation of the Cosmos. To the sacred chant of the Sri Vidya mantra, 21 different dishes were offered as naivedyam (food offering) to the Maha Meru which transmits the Divine Energy, wherever it is installed properly sanctified. Sanctifying it and deriving its benefit is the purpose of the Sri Vidya pooja.
