Little Anandas is a 10-day residential program for children aged between 10 and 15 years. From 1 to 10 May, the program is on at the ashram in Bangalore. 164 children have gathered here for the program. Following are pictures taken at this ongoing joyous program. Stay tuned for more pictures.

A grand beginning: The first day of the program, the doors of the meditation hall are thrown open to a grand onslaught of energy from the children!

The mayis (mothers) who were entrusted with taking care of the children introduce themselves amidst cheer.

Self introduction - The children introduce themselves in interesting and innovative ways. Seen in the two pictures below are a group of girls making a joint introduction through dance.

Introducing the Master - The children watch a movie clip of the Master. They were asked at the end of it, who the star person they saw on the screen was - a movie star, or a rock star...to which they raised their hands and one child shouted out 'God star!'

Word of mouth - Chinese whisper - a game of passing a secret in sequence from one to another. The secret comes out distorted at the end of the circle. The children are made to understand how facts can get twisted when passed through many people. The only whisper that did not get distorted was 'be blissful'!

Whirling - a way of centering the energy well inside the body which comes naturally to children if only they are allowed to do it.

An instructor teaches taekwondo, a form of martial arts used for self defence.

Touching base with oneself - deep meditation in progress...

Building the group energy through play - enjoying the place and space...

Active alertness - 'passing the parcel' in a circle without missing a beat...

Feeling and celebrating the oneness with Existence through arathi - an offering of fire to Existence.

Enjoying a sumptuous meal in the food circles...
