Maha Shiva Rathri Celebrations - Hyderabad ashram

On 26 Feb 2006, Maha Shiva Rathri was celebrated amidst much fervour in the newly inaugurated ashram in Hyderabad (inaugurated on 24 Jan '06 earlier this year). People thronged the temple through the day and stayed till late night to watch the series of abhishekas (sacred bath) offered to Lord Anandeshwar - the Shiva Linga.

sacred bath, Lord Anandeshwar is seen decorated completely
with strung rudraksh beads. The rudraksh is a holy bead
that serves as an Energy storehouse of the Cosmic Energy.
