The Shiva Linga has been described in Tantra as the ultimate form for cosmic energy flow. It represents the perfect union of male and female energies.
Man as such does not need another being to experience the bliss energy in him. If he dives into the depths of his being, he can experience it as continuous surging tides that rise and fall within himself causelessly. When this happens, he can know that the localized peak energy experience which happens through union with another being, can very well be an experience of every body cell of his, without the presence of the other. He can also know that energy need not be dissipated through the other being, but can be contained within him as an eternal and ecstatic dance. This phenomenon is what is represented in the Shiva Linga – the ultimate God form created for worship.
The Shiva Linga symbolizes the energy flow that happens when Existence unites with itself to create waves of bliss that rise and fall within, not without. It is the ultimate symbol of the state of Samadhi, where mere existence is bliss.
Every child is born out of the union of male and female energies and hence has in it, both the energies. This is the concept of Ardhanareeshwar – the form of Shiva as half male and half female. Society conditions a child to suppress the less dominant energy half in it, while encouraging the other half. Over time, the child launches an unconscious search for the suppressed half to achieve its nature that is fulfillment. This is the cause for its outer world attractions. The formless form of the Shiva Linga, represents perfect energy balance and union of the male and female energies. This makes it the ultimate form to worship for one to experience complete energy harmony within oneself and go beyond duality of all sorts. It is a symbol of the peak internal union that should happen in every individual on planet Earth.
Koti Lingas Kshetra
When an enlightened Master consecrates a deity, there is tremendous energy explosion, and the deity becomes an instant energy house. The
Koti lingas to be consecrated in the ashram in Tiruvannamalai is the first of its kind in this holy town. Tiruvannamalai is a Shiva energy field. Its sanctity has been metaphysically described in Tamil as ‘Adikku 1008 Shiva lingam’ meaning, the place where ‘every foot of land radiates the energy of 1008 Shiva Lingas!’
In such an energy field, the koti linga kshetra is the consecration of 10,000 Shiva Lingas, on each of which will be etched 1000 Shiva Linga forms, thus making it one crore Shiva Lingas or
Koti Lingas. (koti - crore and linga - Shiva Linga).
Ananda Linga
In the center of these one crore Lingas, will be consecrated Ananda Linga - a 21 feet tall Shiva Linga – tallest in the world. This unique Linga is being made completely with Navabhashanam, (an amalgamation of nine rare herbs) and other 1008 different herbs. This Linga will continuously radiate healing energy that can cure all mental and physical illnesses.
Navagraha deities and Navagraha trees
This energy field will also have Navagraha deities (deities associated with the nine planets) along with Navagraha trees (trees associated with the nine planets).
108 live energy Shiva Lingas
Further, 108 alive and living Shiva Lingas made of gold, silver, crystal, and other precious stones, and radiating tremendous energy, will also be consecrated here.
