Marriage ceremony for two couples - 13 Jul 2006

On 13 July '06, Swamiji conducted two weddings in the ashram in Bangalore. It was the wedding of two brothers, sons of ardent devotee Sri Ulaganathan. Sri Ananda Agastya wedded Amudha and Sri Ananda Devarishi wedded Ma Ananda Mahaarajni. Explaining every step of the poojas performed, Swamiji brought tremendous understanding into the whole instituition of marriage. Following are pictures from the function.

In the following pictures, the couples offer paada puja (offering to the feet) to their parents as a mark of gratitude for having received the body in this birth through them.
The couples offer paada puja to Swamiji, the Guru through whom one attains to the Truth.
The following pictures show the ceremony in progress. Invoking all the deities in the fire element, the ceremony is conducted by Swamiji under the auspices of the invoked deities with the fire element as witness to the 7 marital vows taken. Explaining every step of the ceremony and sharing lighter moments inbetween, Swamiji takes the couple through an enjoyable and fulfilling wedding ceremony.
